The Greater Baytown Area Lacrosse Association, Inc. has merged with the Baytown Optimist Club. Management control is now under the Optimist.
2019 FALL REGISTRATION IS OPEN!
Registration is at the Baytown Sports Expo on Jan. 19-20th at the Baytown City Hall, 2407 Market Street, Baytown, TX 77520 from 10 AM - 5 PM. School districts do not matter. We are open to Baytown, Barbers Hill, LaPorte, Channelview, Glena Park, and Crosby 5-6 & 7-8 graders. Cost is $165.00 for 2019 Season. We will supply the pinnie, helmet, pads and stick. You may also purchase your own equipment but you must purchase your own cleats, protector cup and mouthpiece.
(The Spring Season starts Sat., Jan. 25,2019 but we are starting two weeks later to sign up more players).
There are two brackets in our student-athletic lacrosse boy's program; 5&6, and 7&8. We hope to expand to high school varsity play in the future.
We are starting off with elementary and middle school athletes, The cost will be $165.00 this season which will cover referees, uniforms and additional expenses. There is a registration form that you can download from this website and email it or turn it in at any registration, and we will also have additional application forms at the practices. A copy of the players birth certificate is required. The Baytown Parks and Recreation Department has agreed to let us have a lacrosse field and install our goals at the Soccer Park at 4700 Village Ln, (off Baker Road), Baytown, TX 77521.
Required equipment is a crosse (stick), helmet, mouthpiece, gloves, chest pads, cleats, cup, goalkeeper throat and chest protector. The Goalkeeper’s have additional padding, which we provide. Every player must become a member of the USLascrosse program which you will be responsible for signing up your child on there website at www.USLacrosse.org. The cost is $30.00.
The Baytown Optimist Lacrosse program is an ALL VOLUNTEER organization and encourages ALL parents to get involved, as the success of our program relies on every family doing their part, such as serving on the field assets/setup committee, being a team parent, spirit wear, fundraising, game day help, special event volunteers, coaches and assistant coaches and much more.
